Garlic – is a great home remedy for all types of illnesses and conditions.  Garlic helps the function of your immune system and also helps aid in the fight against bacterial and viral infections.  Not only can garlic help with cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart disease, but it also helps prevent colon or stomach cancer.  Garlic also acts as a blood thinner and can help with circulation, as well as blood flow.  Many people take garlic supplements to help balance their bodies levels and to keep their levels in normal range.  So make sure to incorporate garlic in your meal plans as well as taking daily garlic supplements to keep your body and immune system in tip top shape.

Licorice – is a very popular candy that can also help you with man common cold symptoms such as cough and chest congestion.  Instead of consuming the licorice as a candy, try getting some licorice root and making into a cup of tea.  Simply brew the licorice root in your favorite herbal tea and heat for at least 10-15 minutes.  Allow the tea to cool, but not too much. You want to consume the tea at a lukewarm temperature for best results for a cough or chest congestion.  Drink up to 2-3 cups of the licorice tea until your symptoms of cough and congestion subside.  This is a very fast acting home remedy for these particular symptoms and you should be able to see results within hours of consumption.  You may also want to try inhaling the steam while the tea is brewing, this can also help in clearing out your airways and breaking up mucus.  
Onions and Olive Oil – can also help in congestion.  This is an old remedy that has also been used for many years and can start clearing symptoms almost immediately.  Simply take a pan and add olive oil to the pan.  Heat the olive oil and then add chopped or peeled onions to the pan.  Fry the onions and then add about ¼ of a teaspoon of curry powder to the mixture.  Allow the onions, olive oil, and curry powder mixture to set and then consume.  You can follow this procedure up to 3-4 times a day and can dramatically help with your symptoms of chest congestion.  This not only helps your breath better but also helps break up any unwanted mucus causing your chest congestion.

Nail and toenail fungus can be a very hard condition to clear up.  This is a condition that many people suffer with day by day and some find it quite embarrassing.  Many of the people that suffer with nail funguses find it hard to be able to show off their hands or feet and avoid wearing shoes that show their toes.  Although this can be a very tough fungus to get completely rid of and many people go through courses of constant prescription antibiotics only to find that the symptoms return in a matter of weeks and even days.  However, many people have found that home remedies have become more beneficial to their condition as well as clears fungus more quickly.  Here are a few home remedies that are most commonly used for the treatment of nail and toenail fungus.

Apple Cider Vinegar – is very commonly used in the treatment of nail or toenail fungus.  Apple cider vinegar contains an acidic which helps in the reduction and spreading of fungal infections.  In this home remedy simply mix equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar into a large bucket or foot bath tub.  You then soak the infected nails or toenails in the mixture.  Make sure that your nails or toenails are completely submerged in the mixture.  Follow this procedure for at least 15-20 minutes for best results.  After the nails have set in the mixture for the required time simply dry the nails thoroughly with either a clean towel or a blow dryer.  Repeat this procedure as many as 2-3 times a day each day until the nail fungus is no longer present.  You can also use undiluted lemon juice rather than apple cider vinegar if you wish.  Lemon juice is also contains an acidic and will give you the same results.

Tea Tree Oil – is also a very commonly used treatment for nail and toenail fungus.  This is because tea tree oil is a fungicide and has properties of an antiseptic which makes this extremely effective in the treatment of different forms of fungus.  Simply apply a few drops of the tea tree oil to the affected areas of the nail or toenail.  You will want to leave the solution on the nail or toenail for at least 15-20 minutes and then scrub the nail or toenail with a soft toothbrush.  As you scrub, the tea tree oil will spread and also go under the nail itself for further treatment of the fungus.  Repeat this process up to 3-4 times a day until the fungus is completely gone from the nail or toenail.  Tea tree oil can be found at your local pharmacy or nutritional store and can produce the results you want in a matter of days. 

Listerine – can help more than just your mouth, it can also help you in the treatment of nail and toenail fungus.  This is because Listerine contains alcohols such as salicylate thymol and eucalyptol which helps in the fight against most common funguses.  You can incorporate both Listerine and apple cider vinegar.  Mix equal parts of Listerine and apple cider vinegar in a foot bath tub or a bucket and then soak the affected nails or toenails in the mixture.  Keep the nails and toenails submerged for 15-20 minutes for best results.  Repeat this process as many as 3-4 times a day until the nail or toenail fungus is completely gone.  Repeating the procedure after the fungal infection is gone can also prevent from any other reoccurrences of the nail or toenail fungus.

Many people suffer with arthritis pain day in and day out.  Unfortunately arthritis is something that cannot be cured and as a person gets older in their age, the arthritis pains only get worse.  Arthritis affects mainly joints and can make it very hard to be mobile at times.  Arthritis mainly affects the elderly, athletes, or people that have been through years of strenuous physical work.  Although there are many prescription medications out on the market today that can help your arthritis pain, many people are turning to home remedies for a more natural and healthy way to help their aches and pains due to arthritis.  Here are a few of the most commonly used home remedies that you can try to help with your arthritis pain.  

Pineapple Juice – is a great source to go to when you are having bouts with arthritis pain.  Simply grab a fresh pineapple from your local grocery store or fruit vendor and then extract the juice from the pineapple.  Pineapple juice is a great home remedy to use to get rid of the unwanted swelling in your joints, which causes aching pain and discomfort.  Drinking pineapple juice on a regular basis can significantly improve your pain associated with arthritis.  You can also purchase pineapple juice that is already processed at your local grocery store also.  However, keep in mind that fresh pineapple juice that is extracted directly from the fruit itself is a more effective and beneficial method for arthritis pain.

Epsom Salt – can also help in your crusade to finding relief to unwanted arthritis pain.  Epsom salt baths are very effective in reducing the pain in your joints, increasing your blood flow as well as circulation, and also helps reduce in swelling in your joints that are associated with arthritis.  Epsom salt is so effective in arthritis pain relief because it contains high levels of magnesium which helps release lactic acid from your muscle tissue.  Giving your joints an Epsom salt bath at least 2 times a day, preferably in the morning time and in the evening time before bed, can be very effective in giving you the relief you need.

Remedy 3 - Another great home remedy that you might want to try uses lemons, ginger, and mint.  In this home remedy you will want to mix ¼ of a cup of lemon, ginger, and mint.  You may also want to add a pinch of rock salt.  Drink the mixture early in the morning and repeat the procedure periodically during the day at least 2-3 times a day if your stomach pains still occur.  This home remedy not only reduces gas trapped in your stomach which causes a lot of stomach pain problems, but it also improves blood circulation.
